NRC LETTER DOCKET NOS. 50-272/83-11 AND 50-311/83-10 Public Service Electric and Gas Company is in receipt of your 1etter of March 25, 1983 and the enclosed Notice of violation for failure to follow procedures for issuing color coded photo badges.
This letter constitutes our response to that document.

All badges that were improperly issued to personnel have been l
destroyed.
Radges are being issued in accordance with the Security Procedures.
This action was verified on April 20, 1983.
The individual responsible for the decision to use the improperly color coded badges is no longer in a Security Man-agement Position.
The Security Procedures will continue to be followed when issuing photo badges in the future.
