Beaver Valley Power. Station, Unit No.;1 Docket No. 50-334, License No. DPR-66 Request for Amendment to Appendix B Technical Specifications Portion of the Operating License.

Centlemen:

Enclosed are three (3) signed originals and thirty-seven (37) copies of a proposed amendment to the Operating License for the Beaver Valley Power Station.

We are requesting a change to Appendix "B" of the Technical Spe'cifications, Section 3.1.2, Chemical Releases.

This section was revised (Amendment No. 15) on September 12, 1978 following an initial submittal of a Technical Specification Change Request on June 30, 1977.

The recent amendment required clarification I

in the area of documentation and after further discussions with the NRC (J. Wilson),

the attached change to Section 3.1.2 was developed.

Based on the history of this particular item, Duquesne Light Company requests thac the fee for facility license

~ amendment be waived.

Attachment #1 provides the existing wording in the Beaver Valley Technical Specifications, and Attachment #2 provides the proposed wording.

The proposed changes have been evaluated by both the on-site Safety Committee and the Company Off-Site Review Committee, and it is concluded that the revisions neither affect the environment nor are safety related.
