In response to Item 3.1.8 of the Fire Protection Safety Zvaluation Report (FFSER) of Septe=ber 19, 1978 and Met-Ed's letter of September 29, 1978 (GQL 1585), a dccunentation search to determine the fire rating of all the TG-1 Fire Hacards Analysis fire decrs, including the deors previously addressed, has been cenpleted.
Attached are six copies of applicable Fire Hacards Analysis Drawings marked to shev the 1ccation of the doors discussed below.
Met-Ed has evaluated the results of the search and proposes the felleving action I
for these Fire Hacards Analysis fire decrs which do not carry a UL A label or for which sufficient dccu=entation does not exist to verify their fire rating:
Decrs and fraSes C h03 and C h23 are being replaced with bullet-resisting doors as part of the security program.
'"hese decrs vill be of A label constructien.
Decrs and frames C-131, C kl5, C h18 and S-157 vill be replaced with assemblies bearing the UL A label.

'~ es fer doors C-207, C-3Ch, C-307, C-312 and :-101 vill be replaced, but the decrs and hardware vill be reused.
T.u dcors are fabricated in ac-cordance with A label requirenents. However, the decrs are eversiced and therefere were not subjected to the standard fire tests required for label attachnent.
1 Met-Id prepcses to leave the fclleving decrs in place as is:
C-205, C-206, C-303, 0 h0h, C-303, C-202, C-2Ch, 0-108, C-306 and C-12k.

channels and anchered through the door stop into the jamb channels by bolting. In addition, the jamb and head channels are covered by fireproofing =aterials.
It is Met-Ed's opinion that renoving the frame, and the resulting danage to the rated =etal fire wall, would j
result in a fire barrier less effective than what presently exists.

. Door C-12h is a rolling steel decr constructed in accordance with UL A label requirements.
It does not carry a label because of its si::e and because of a vicket installed in the decr.
