Dear Mr. Denton:
Reference (a) requires that the fire protection program be implemented for the building in which new fuel is going to be stored.
Reference (b) requires that strategies be developed for fighting fires.
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that the Byron Station Pre-Fire Plans have been developed for the areas that are necessary for the receipt of new fuel.
These pre-fire plans are available on-site for review by the NRC.
By copy of this letter, Mr. James G. Keppler, Regional Administrator is also informed of the status of these plans.
Enclosed please find one (1) signed original and forty (40) copies of this letter.
