FREEDOM OF 1NFORMATION ACT REQUEST

Dear Mr. Folton:

Pursuant to the Preedom of Information Act, 5 USC @ 552, an amended, and the provisions of 10 CFR Part 9, the undersigned hereby requests the following items:

1. All documents, memoranda, correspondence, etc. concerning the risk to the Perry Nuclear Power Plant from low trajectory ,

turbine mis: files (excluding CP and OL stage SEns, which this requester possesses). This information is relevant to Issue #13 in the Perry OL proceeding, Docket Nos. 50-440/441. See October 29, 1982 Memorandum and Ordar, LBP-82-98.

2. All Commission guidelines or criteria (excludin6 Hogulatory' .

Guide 1.115) or other documents concerning (generically) ,

the risks from and protective measures from turbine miariles.

Tids pertuins to Issue #13 in the Perry proceeding. See LBP-82-98. ,

3. any new or additional documents generated since your response  ;

to my FOIA request of Decemoer 22, 1981 (FOIA-81-516) con- i cerning the use of in-core thermocouples in BWRs, particularly I in BWR/6 rcactors (see item 13 of that request). This in-  ;

formation relates to Issue #14 in the Perry proceeding. See LBP-82-98. I

4. All documents concerning steam erosion, as identified in IE Information Notices 82-22 and 83-23, particularly any instances in BWRs, and any guidelines or criteria the staff e has or may develop concerning the prevention or mitigation of the effects of steam erosion. This relates to Issuc #)5 l in the Perry proceeding. See LBP-82-90.

In accordance with your policy as stated in the response to my earlier request, FOIA-81-516, I requent that 75% of the fees incurred for the scarch and pinduction of these documents be waived, since they all relate to issues admitted in the Perry proceeding. I agree to accept the residual (25%) charges.
