River Bend Station-Units 1 & 2 Docket Nos. 50-458/50-459 In response to a request from Mr. Ed Weinkam, the NRC River Bend
- Station (RBS) Project Manager, information concerning the RBS Emergency Operations Facility (EOF) is as-follows:
a.
Location - 1.1 miles from the Unit i reactor b.
Construction type - concrete with an additional 4 inches of brick veneer c.
Protection factor greater than 5.7 (not including the brick veneer.)
d.
Date construction began - February 1982 e.
Construction status -structure is complete f.
Design incorporates HEPA filters g.
Back-up EOF - Located at the Gulf States Utilities Baton Rouge Division Dispatch Office. The Back-up EOF is an existing two-story brick facility located 23 miles south of RBS on Government Street in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
This information will be provided in a future FSAR amendment.
