Since these fielis tend to cancel One another, the :cil voltage is decreased in proportion to the ca;nitwie of eddy cur-reit flow in the test piece. The electrical properties which affect the flow of eddy cu.rr w s are pe =tabilit; and conductivity. Channel ene of the !CZ-12 tester was set at 100 IZz differential.

This is the opti m frequency for defect infor :ation. Channel tro of the tester was set at 10012s differential. Channel three as set at LOC 122 lov gain differential for dent =agnitude evalt:ation.

For tubes in rows 29 and less, channel three was set at 2$ 13: for sludge height sensurements. Channel four was set at 10012: atselute.

Channel one (100 122 DTIF) was mixed with channel two (lCO 12:

LT ?) to suppress un anted signals originatin on the outside of o

the tube such as supports and tt e sheet influences. Channel three, when run at LOO ich-lev gain, was used to evaluate the voltage amplitude of dents observed that were large enough to saturate channel one (100132-high gain).
