The Cincinnati Gas & Electric Company (CG6E) wishes to continue certain work activities which do not violate the spirit of the November 12, 1982 Show Cause and Order of Immediate Suspension of Essential Consttuction.
CG&E would like NRC review and concurrence of the following items prior to their performance:
1)
FLANGED JOINTS Both the H.
J.
Kaiser Company, CG&E Quality Assurance, and the Quality Confirmation Program will need to have flanged joints taken apart on safety related systems in order to perform inspections.
CG&E feels that the disassembly and reassembly of flanged joints in accordance with approved site procedures in order to support inspections should not be considered as
" enhancing construction".
2)
RELEASE OF PIPING FROM THE WAREHOUSE FOR TESTING PURPOSES.
CG&E requests the release of the following 48 pieces of essential Small Bore Piping from the H.
J.
Kaiser Warehouse:

The Piping will be used as a test material on.a Hydraulic Pipe Bender and the resulting data used in a 50.55(e) Report M-67.
The released material will not be used for physical Construction.
