_New Frequency for Submitting Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) Updates and 10 CFR 50.59 Reports" As required by 10~CFR 50.71(e), TVA.is providing you ten copies of Amendment.10 of the SQN UFSAR..This amendment is intended to reflect the as-constructed condition of the plant as of October 15, 1993. The changes reflected by Amendment.10 are the result of. modifications to the facility, l procedure changes, and other. administrative changes.

'As required by 10 CFR 50.59(b)(2), one copy of the SQN 10 CFR 50.59 report is also provided. This report contains summaries of the safety evaluations performed for facility changes,' procedure changes, and special tests for the period of January 1, 1992 to December 31, 1993.

These reports are being submitted at this time to comply with the new

-reporting frequency' requirements of 10 CFR 50.71(e) and 10 CFR 50.59 (e.g., successive reports not to exceed 24 months). As noted in the referenced' letter, TVA' originally ~ planned to submit the Amendment 10 UFSAR

Based on the recent change in schedule for SQN's Unit 2 Cycle 6 refueling outage (scheduled to begin July 3, 1994), TVA plans to submit Amendment 11 to SQN's FSAR and the associated 10 CFR 50.59 report within six months following the end of the Unit'2 Cycle 6 refueling outage.

It should be noted that TVA has conducted additional reviews of each section of SQN's FSAR for the Amendment 10 update to more accurately reflect the as-operated configurath n of the plant.

TVA is continuing these reviews to ensure that the information contained in the FSAR is current and accurate.

I certify that I am a duly authorized officer of TVA and that, to the best of my knowledge and belief, the information contained herein accurately presents changes made since the previous submittal up to six months before this submittal date, necessary to reflect information and analyses submitted to the Commission or prepared pursuant to Commission requirement.
