The high risks associated with this plant (i.e. tie faulty design of ) the GC Mdk I Reactors on-site storage of radioactive wate; location of 4 - the planti) are not acceptable. Ne urge our elected representatives to initiate and support 1egisintion which promotes: 1. A focus on conservation and ig roved energy efficiency, 2. Aggressive research on clean, renewnble sources of enetyy, 3. Strong programs to eliminate problems of acid rain and the " Greenhouse Etfeet i 4. Plans for solving the probleem of nuclear waste, i 5.- Revision of the toc to consider safety First, 6. Revise -and reduce the role of nuclear pwe.r in energy policies and the Atcrnic Dergy Act, 7.
