Dear Mr. Sherr:
The Nebraska Public Power District is preparing to ship irradiated reactor fuel from Nebraska Public Power District, Cooper Nuclear Station, Brownville, Nebraska, on Nebraska Public Power District's License Number DPR-46 to the General Electric Storage Facility at Morris, Illinois, License Number SNM 2500, NRC Docket No. 72-1. The proposed shipment consists of irradiated boiling water reactor fuel assemblies. As licensee and shipper of the irradiated nuclear fuel, and in accordance with Title 10 CFR Part 73.37, we are herein submitting for appraval the route of travel for the material described in Enclosure 1.
The District was unable to identify any specific provision in Title 10 CFR Part 2.700 to request an exemption from public disclosure for this request; however, the District considers the enclosed information to be of a proprietary nature at this time and respectfully requests that the enclosed information be withheld from public disclosure until the final route approval has been granted by the NRC.
