Gentlemen:
The NRC's letter dated December 10, 1982 request.e6 Georgia Power Company to provide information which was not addressed in our initial response to I&E Bulletin 81-03.
We hereby request an extension to the schedule for response specified in your letter until the end of the upcoming refueling outage at Plant Hatch Unit 2, currently scheduled for spring 1983. Failure to receive thi.3 extension would require an additional plant outage, resulting in lost generation during the inspection of some heat exchangers which are inaccessible during plant operations.
Our operating 1.istory, as reflected in our May 22, 1981 response to I&E Bulletin 81-03, supports our request for extension.
If you should require additional information regarding this request, please contact this office.
Very truly yours, A/
