Ily letters dated August 7,1992, and October 12, 1993, SNC provided analysis and information documenting the capability of the pressurizer safety discharge piping to perform as required in response to postulated transients. Ily letter dated March 23, 1994, the NRC expressed concerns associated with the SNC analysis and requested that SNC provide a schedule for re-analysis or modifications to allay the NRC concerns. A response to this letter was requested within 45 days of receipt.
Representatives of SNC and the NRC staff met on April 26,1994, to discuss the NRC concerns with the analysis, and options available to accomplish closure of item II.D.I.
During the meeting the NRC agreed to allow SNC to further evaluate these options over an ensuing 90-day period. Thus, SNC will provide an updated response addressing Item II.D.I by July 26,1994.
