I Part I - CHANGES A. In October the wires in the primary pump control circuit were charred after the insulation broke down due to age and heat. All damaged wires were replaced.

B. In December the annual fuel inspection was performed, followed by control rod  ;

calibrations.

]

C. In February concrete shielding was installed between the demineralizer shed and the fence on the east side ef the facility to lower the dose rate at the boundary of the exclusion area.  ;

D. In March the fence on the west side of the facility was moved back 10 feet in onier to -

lower the dose rate at the boundary of the exclusion area.

E. In May Vincent Scott, who was previously laid off in 1993 but maintained his SRO license as a consultant, was rehired.

F. In June th.t wooden shielding over the reactor pool was reinforced in order to minimize the possibil.ity of its falling over in tiie event of an ecrthquake.

Part II - EXPERIMEllTS l

llo new experiments were performed during the year. The experiments performed in this reporting period were as follows: ,

EXPERIMEllT 110.

114 11eutron radiography performed in the radiography facilities.

116 Irradiation of hydrocarbon activation analysis samples. >

120 Irradiation of plastic slides impregnated with microsec, ic quantities of fissionable materials.

124 Irradiation of solid state electronic components to determine radiation damage effects.
