h0Cn (Seabrook Station, Units 1 and 2) l MOTION FOR CONTINUANCE OF DISCOVERY DEADLINE NOW COMES the Coastal Chamber of Commerce (Hampton Beach Area Chamber of Commerce), an Intervenor in the above named proceeding, and respectfully requests that the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board continue its December 15, 1982 deadline for discovery to June 1, 1983 The Coastal Chamber asks for such a continuance because the burden the short discovery perio4 has imposed on the Chamber's representative has precluded the subinission of documents in a timely fashion.
The Chambers representative in the proceeding is an elected' official and a portion of the discovery period very unfortunately coincided with the necessit'y of conducting a reelection campaign.
Furthermo're, because the Chamber was not able to fund any staff to assist the Chamber's representative, the onus of preparing the dccuments fell entirely upon her.
In view of the rescheduled completion and fuel loading dates submitted by the Applicant, the Chamber feels that this request is.
neither unreasonable nor unfair.
The Chamber contends that the granting of this continuance would be in the best interests of all parties to this proceeding.
