o ENCLOSURE SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT ICE CONDENSER DOOR SURVEILLANCE INSPECTION RESULTS Based on our review of the data provided, the parformance history is summarized as follows:
1.
The unit 1 inlet doors were tested ten times beginning on May 1,1979 The unit 2 inlet doors have been tested three times.
2.
One test failure occurred on October 24, 1979 when the left door on bay 19 failed the test by one inch-pound (675 required). This failure occurred prior to receipt of the operating license. No other failures have occurred.
3 In May 1980 a bad seal and spring were replaced on a door although it passed the test without this maintenance being performed.
4.
In February 1981 a missing door spring was replaced although the door passed the test before the maintenance was performed.
5.
In June 1981 ice was removed from the reactor side of five doors (no ice near the seals) although the doors passed the test before the maintenance was performed.
6.
No other inlet door maintenance has been needed.
