December 9, 1982 Parents Concerned About Indian Point Objection to New York State's Motion to Modify Hearing Schedule t
Parents Concerned About Indian Point objects to New York State's motion for Modification of the Hearing Schedule. The reasons put forth by 3
New York State are not persuasive. Even granting the fact that New York State witnesses will not be present at the hearings until the week of March 14, other witnesses, including those sponsored by Parents, WESPAC, RCSE, WBCA, UCS/NYPIRG, F0E/Audubon, the New York City Council, the utilities, and the NRC staff will be prepared to go on the stand as scheduled.
Intervenor witnesses have been postponed and delayed several times during the course of the hearings. Parents has informed its witnesses to be prepared for the first three weaks in March, as per the ASLB order of November 15, 1982, and it would be a burden on Parents as well as the people who are prepared to testify to change the schedule again.
Parents does not object to the suggestion made by New York State, that an additional week of teetimony.on dmergency planning'be' scheduled...
