Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 Inservice Testing Program As a result of 10 CFR 50.55(b)(2) having been amended to include the 1980 Edition through Winter 1980 Addenda to Section XI of the ASME boiler and pressure vessel code (Federal Register Vol. 46, No. 251), we are upgrading our Inservice Pump and Valve Testing Program (GQL 1,357 dated 10/26/79, TLL 032 dated 1/31/80 and Llt 264 dated 9/25/81) to Articles IWP and IWV of the 1980 Edition through Winter 1980 Addenda of Section XI.
Our Inservice Testing Program will reflect the Section XI Division 1 changes which permit pump testing to be donc quarterly, rather than on the monthly frequency previously specified. We further trust that the Commission's acceptance of the more current code addenda resolves the issue of monthly testing of pumps which was considered an open item (A.2 of SER Table 2.2) in License Amendment No. 71 to DPR-50.
