Dear Sir:
An error has been discovered in the Semiannual Report for the Duane Arnold Energy Center, Unit No. 1, for the period January 1, 1979 through June 30, 1979.
The error is in the value reported for Sr-89 and Sr-90 for liquid effluents for the first quarter page 4.
The error, which was discovered by an NRC Consultant, was cauced by a conversion error. When the Sr-89 and Sr-90 values were calculated, the conversion from disintegrations to microcuries was omitted.
The value reported for Sr-89 and Sr-90 for the first quarter, is <5.62 E 0 curies. The correct value for Sr-89 and Sr-90 is <2.53 E-6 curies.
