Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket N0. 50-289 NRC Letter Requesting Materials Information Regarding Generic Letter (GL) 92-01, Revision 1, " Reactor Vessel Structural Integrity" Your letter to GPU Nuclear dated April 12, 1994 requested additional information concerning Generic Letter 92-01, Revision 1, " Reactor Vessel Structural Integrity".
The letter requested the following information:
1.
Confirmation regarding the applicability of B&W Owners Group (B&WOG) topical reports BAW-2178P and BAW-2192P to TMI-l and approval of these reports as the basis for compliance with 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix G, Paragraph IV.A.I.
2.
Additional information regarding the unirradiated upper shelf energy (USE) for two plate materials.
3.
Verification that the information contained in enclosures No.1 & 2 of the referenced letter accurately reflects the summary data relative to pressurized thermal shock (PTS) and USE evaluations for THI-1.
Our letter dated May 13, 1994 stated that the NRC Staff had agreed to a generic response by the B&WOG with a letter of response on each docket which either includes or references the generic response.
The B&WOG submitted a report (BAW-2222, dated June 1994) which contains our response to the items 2 and 3 above. GPU Nuclear reviewed the report prior to the submittal and fully concurs with its content with respect to the TMI-l material information.

.'Page 2 This letter also confirms the applicability of the B&WOG topical reports (BAW-2178P, Rev. 1 and BAW-2192P, Rev. 1) to THI-1 and hereby request NRC approval of these reports as the basis for THI-1 having demonstrated compliance with 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix G, Paragraph IV.A.1 for equivalent margin analysis of its low upper shelf weld metals.
