This information was verbally requested by the NRC.
The original request was made in accordance with 10 CFR 20.103(c).
Due to the revision to Part 20, this action is now l'
addressed by 10 CFR 20.1703 (a) (2).

ATTACHMENT To supplement the Beaver Valley Power Station authorization request to the NRC to use different sized MSA Chemox Facepieces, the NRC verbally requested the following information:
Esauest #1:
Please supply a
part number for the Ultravue small silicone rubber facopiece.
Response
l The part number for the Ultravue small silicone rubber Chemox facepiece is 805453.
In addition, Mine Safety Appliances Company (MSA) now supplies a
medium silicone rubber Chemox facepiece (part number 805452) and a large silicone rubber Chemox facepiece (part number 805454) that Beaver Valley also. requests authorization to use.
Reauest #2:
Since these Chemox facepieces are not covered by a NIOSH approval
- number, please supply documentation that these facepieces have been constructed as other MSA facepieces that are part of NIOSH-approved respirator systems.
Resnonse:
The attached letter from MSA certifies that these Chemox facopieces are of the same construction as other MSA facopieces that are components of NIOSH-approved respirator systems.
