Dear Sir:
Reference (A) described the reasons Baston Edison wished to perfonn any necessary modifications to the Control Rod Drive System concurrent with modifications to the feedwater system. We gave June 30, 1983 as the date of final implementation for modifications to both systems. This date was chosen because it corresponded to our 1983 refueling outage.
The length of our last refueling outage has impacted upon the commencement of the 1983 refueling outage. We wish therefore to redefine our commitment.
Final implementation of the above modifications will be completed prior to restart following the 1983 refueling outage. We appreciate your attention to this issue.
