Dear Dr. Thomas:
Enclosed are the remaining Technical Specification changes that we indicated would be sent in previous correspondence. All proposed changes have been approved by the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University Reactor Safety Committee as shown by the letters of approval from the Reactor Safety Committee Chairman.
Please note that actual connection and testing (following Nuclear Regulatory Commission approval) is contingent on Nitrogen-16 calcu-lations (inc.luding required amount of shielding) and approved test procedures. These items will be presented to the Reactor Safety Committee prior to commencing any work on the system (s). The test procedures will encompass all aspects of the system (s) such as:
initial conditions, precautions and limitations, hydrostatic tests (where applicable), system certification, system filter and flushing operations, operational tests, and calibration of all electronic equipment.
Due to the large number of changes desired, we are submitting the entire Technical Specifications with the proposed changes included.
I am enclosing a table to list the specific changes desired as a summary.
