Dear Sirs:
The Mapleton Intevenors have requested that I obtain information concerning the de-watering systems at the Midland Plant.
In this respect, they specifically request information concerning the total number of wells and the amount of electricity that will be required to be utilized in the operation of those wells.
From Revision No. 14, Volume I, Consumers Power Company to Response 1
to HRC's Request Regarding Plant Fill, we find a total of 96 wells that have been drilled.
We also find that there is a duplication in some of the well numbers, specifically ME-68 and 69, which occur in two different places in Consumers Power Company, Volume I, Revision No. 14.
Therefore, we are not certain of the number of wells since some of the wells are three inches (3") in diameter; and most of them are seventeen inches (17") with a six inch (6")
well screen.
Please furnish me with the above information so that I can pass this on to the Mapleton Intevenors and to Mr. Marshall, who is also an Intevenor.
