Docket 50-186 University of Missouri Research Reactor License R-103 SULUECT: Submittal required by 10CFR50.64(c)(2)(ll) with respect to Federal Funding for conversion.

The University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) has applied for a unique purpose exemption pu muant to 10CFR50.64(c)(1) in a letter dated September 26,1986. This application, plus additional su; porting information, is currently under review by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).

Since this review process rnay extend past March 27,1991, the University of Missoud Research Reactor is complying with 10CFR50.64(c)(2)(ti) by submitting a copy of the Department of Energy letter, dated January 31,1991, notifying the licensee that Fede. al Funds for converaton of our reactor will not be available during Fiscal Year 1991.

This submittai -ud attachment constitutes MURR's resp (mse for Fiscal Year 1991. The MURR will r:spond again pt to March 27,1992 as per 10CFR50.64(c)(2), unless a detennination is made by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission that our facility be granted a unique purpose exernption.
