20555 ULNRC-2966 Gentlemen:

DOCKET NUMBER 50-483 CALLAWAY PLANT SEMIANNUAL RADIOACTIVE EFFLUENT RELEASE REPORT The enclosed _ Semiannual Radioactive Effluent Release Report for the second half of 1993 is submitted-pursuant to Section 6.9.1.7 of the Callaway Plant Technical Specifications.

As of the Submittal date of this report, we have not received the results of the quarterly' effluent composite samples-for the fourth quarter.

If any activity is detected in these samples,_an amended report will be submitted.

In addition, the-1993 meteorological data and assessment of doses from gaseous effluents to.the maximum

~

exposed individual is.not included in this report.

This data was excluded because the verification and validation of our new meteorological data processing software (reference NRC inspection report unresolved item 50-483/93008-1) was not complete.as of the submittal date.

We expect to submit an addendum to this report with completed data by May 1, 1994.

We are confident that the dose to the maximum' exposed. individual will be less than 1% of the annual dose limits based'on conservative release permit analyses.
