Dear Ms. Adensam:

In the Matter of ) Docket Nos. 50-327 Tennessee Valley Authority ) 50-328 Amendment 2 (revision 6) to Sequoyah Nuclear Plant's unit 1 technical specifications included requirements for (1) energizing the hydrogen ignition system in Bnergency Operating Instruction (BOI) 0, section II.B, and (2) ensuring the hydrogen ignition system is in service in BOI-1A, section II.G.

Sequoyah will be developing upgraded EDIs as required by NUR m-0737, item I.C.l. %ese upgraded EDIs will follow the generic guidelines currently being developed by the Westinghouse Owners' Group. Wese new BOIs will use a new format; consequently, there will be no BOI-0, section II.B or EDI-1A, section II.G.

Director of Ibclear Reactor Regulation November 30, 1982 Consequently, the only new procedures which will discuss initiation of the hydrogen ignition system are the new EDI-l (IDCA) and those critical safety function restoration guidelines which will address possible hydrogen concentration problems (e.g., inadequate core cooling and response to high containment pressure).
