Amy, I don't think we will comment at this time, but please send us the draft EIS once it is published.

Thank you, Christina Christina Williams U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Austin Ecological Services Field Office 10711 Burnet Road, Ste. 200 Austin, Texas 78758 (512) 490-0057, ext. 235 On Thu, Feb 7, 2019 at 1:56 PM Amy Minor <aminor@swri.org> wrote:

Hello Christina,

I am following up on an information request letter regarding the proposed consolidated interim storage facility (CISF) for spent nuclear fuel at the WCS-owned property in Andrews County, TX. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) sent the request letter to your office in February 2017 for the development of an Environmental Impact Statement (letter is available here https://www.nrc.gov/docs/ML1701/ML17010A368.pdf). A response from the FWS was not provided.

The applicant provided a revised Environmental Report in July 2018 as part of their license application request to the NRC. The report is available here https://www.nrc.gov/docs/ML1822/ML18221A405.html, and is too large to email.

The NRC staff has obtained a species list from the FWS IPaC system under consultation code 02ETAU00-2017-SLI-0256.

The scoping period for the proposed project has ended, and a draft EIS will be published later this year for comment. Please let me know if you recommend that NRC staff resubmit the request to FWS, or whether FWS plans to respond to this

update.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
