[External_Sender] Request for Hearing on Indian Point License Transfer.NRC-2020-0021 Date:

Thursday, February 20, 2020 11:38:16 AM U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20555-0001 Re: Request for Hearing on Indian Point License Transfer, NRC-2020-0021 To Whom It May Concern:

We are members of the New York City Granny Peace Brigade writing to state our concerns regarding HoltecDecommissioning International, LLC (HDI)and to requestan adjudicatory hearing regarding their application. ThatEntergy has chosen HOLTEC for decommissioning Indian Point Units 1, 2, and 3 strikes us as totally misbegotten. Not only is Holteccurrently in legal trouble in New Jersey for bribery of local officials, they have been banned from doing business with the World Bank for ten years.

We are among the 20 million people who work and live within the 50 mile radius of Indian Point. The reports we have read about the failures and oversights in thePost-Shut Down Decommissioning Activities from Holtec are sufficiently alarming to prompt us to urge that you hold a hearing.

The decommissioning of nuclear power units is going to be an occurrence of greater significance as more plants will be shut down in the months and years to come. You have an opportunity to set an example for an enlightened protocol to be followed for nuclear plants, not simply in New York State, but indeed through this nation. Thank you.

Sincerely, Members of the New York City Granny Peace Brigade (partial list):
