This letter constitutes an interim report concerning the subject condition, initially reported to the Commission on July 26, 1982, under the requirements of 10CFR50.55(e).
As stated in our previous report, QA-1945, dated August 17, 1982, tte subject deficiency has been addressed for Zimmer by a dynamic requalification program which is a combination of analysis and limited scope testing covering both back-to-back and single row Ilydraulic Control Unit configurations.
The structural analysis portion of this effort has been completed. A draft test specification has been completed and the test specimens are in the process of being purchased. The expected qualification test completion date is March 31, 1983, at which time a final report will be submitted.
We trust the above will be found acceptable as an interim report under 10CFR50.55(e).
