Gentlemen The purpose of this letter is to provide clarification of the request for exemption stated in the a tio ve referenced letter (NG2VPN 6358).
Duquesne Light company's atent is to receive an exemption that covers two arcant 1.
Unit 2 Simulator Certification Our 3,ubmittal for the Beaver Valley Unit 2 Plant Referenced Simulator Certification keport will be delayed until no later than Juuuury 31, 1992.

Unit 2 Annual Operating Examination Beaver Valley Unit 1 Plant Referenced Simulator will be used to conduct annual operating examinations for Unit 2 personnel through the current requalification training cycle that is scheduled for completion the end of October 1991.
There requests for exemption are in accordance with 10CFR50.12(V) in that the exemptions would provide only temporary relief from the applicable regulations and that Duquesne Light Company has made good f aith cf forts to comply with the regulations in that a Unit 2 plant specific simulator has been ordered and is scheduled for delivery and operation in 1991.
