Dear Mr. Chairman:
I am writing tcith regard to the Subcommittee's inquiry into the NRC's review of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station Emergency Plan.
At this time we are concerned with the circumstances leading to the recent interviews of Mrs. Alba Thompson and Mrs. Mary Ott by NRC Region I of fice of Investigations (OI) staff.
Prior to December 20, 1990, please provide the Subcommittee the following:
1.
All-memoranda prepared since September 1,
1990 by NRC Region I management and directed to NRC Region I OI staf f requesting them to seek to determine whether there was evidence indicating that Boston Edison employees presented to NRC staff inaccurate and/or incomplete information concerning the Pilgrim Emergency plan.
2.
All documents pertaining to a Region I inquiry conducted since issuance of the NRC Inspector General's report, INSPECTION OF NRC STAFF'S REVIEW OF PILGRTM OFF-ET_E EMERGENCY PREPARERtLBEE, into the question of
+,'h e t h e r Boston Edison employees presented to NRC sta f f inaccurate and/or incomplete information concerning the Pilgrim Emergency plan.

. All memoranda prepared since September 1,
1990 by MRC Region I OI staff in response to memoranda referred to in Item 1 above and, in addition, memoranda prepared by Region I OI Staff in response to verbal discusetons with Region I management with regard to the question of whether Boston-Edison employees presented to NRC staff inaccurate and/or incomplete information concerning the Pilgrim Emergency plan.
