REFERENCE:
Letter dated December 28, 1989 from D. R. Helwig (PECo) to NRC Dear Siri The referenced letter provided Philadelphia Electric Company's (PECo*s) response to Generic Letter (GL) 89-10 for Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station (PBAPS), Units 2 and 3, and Limerick Generating Station (LGS), Units 1 and 2.
In the response we committed to providing an implementation schedule for certain motor-operated valve (MOV) preventive / predictive maintenance program uparades by November 30, 1990.
These program upgrades were described in our responses to CL, 89-10 Items d. h and J.
The NRC documented its review of our response by letters to PECo dated July 5 and July 10, 1990 for Pb4PS Units 2 and 3 and LGS Units 1 and 2, respectively.
Supplement 2 to GL 89-10 (dated August 3, 1990) stated that licensees may defer completion of their GL 89-10 program description until January 1, 1991.
Because we planned to include the schedule for the subject program upgrades in the GL 89-10 program description, on December 5, 1990 we proposed to the NRC Technical t
contact for GL 89-10 that we be permitted to submit this schedule l
after January 1, 1991.
The NRC Technical Contact indicated that submittal in the first week of January 1991 was acceptable to him.
This was also discussed with the PBAPS and LGS NRC Project Managers, 9101090151 901231 e{

Uts. Nucionr Regulatory Commission December 31, 1990 Response to GL 89-10 Page 2 and was found acceptabic to them.
Accordingly, this letter provides the schedule information.
j The MOV preventive / predictive maintenance program upgrades are now implemented at PBAPS Units 2 and 3.
The schedule for implementing the MOV preventive / predictive maintenance program upgrades at LOS Units 1 and 2 is attached.
