'This Special Report is submitted in accordance with LaSalle linit 1 Operating License, WPF-11, Appendix A, Technical Specifications 3.7.6 and 6.6.c.
On November 26, 1990 at 0900 hours0.0104 days <br />0.25 hours <br />0.00149 weeks <br />3.4245e-4 months <br />, two Technical staff Engineers discovered that a portion of a three hour fire rated penetration seal located between fire zones 2K and 501 was degraded. A gap existed between the wall and the ceiling due to degraded silicone foam.
In accordance with action statement "a" of Technical Specification 3.7.6, an hourly fire watch patrol was established to inspect the affected fire zone and eppropriate fire detectors were determined to be operable. This will continue l
until the seal is repaired.
The p netration seal for this fire zone was inoperable in excess of the allowed seven (7) days prior to requiring a Special Report because the, work could not be completed within the specified time frame due to unavailability of materlat to repair the seat.
1 Work Request LO3689 was initiated to seal the gap. The replacsment of the penetration seal was performed and declared operable on December 26, 1990.
