Letter from T M Parker (NSP) to Director of-NRR dated January 29, 1990 titled: " Response to Generic Letter 89-13 Service Water System Problems Affecting Safety-Related Equipment" We originally responded to Generic Letter 8913 on January 29, 1990 (see above Re fe rence).

On page 3 of our response, we stated that we would complete a study of the effectiveness of our chlorination (biocide) program by December 31, 1990.

However, we are in the process of replacing the chlorination system with a hypobromous acid feed system in order to eliminate the hazards associated with the storage of chlorine onsite.

Therefore, the study of the ei'fectiveness of our biocido program will continue af ter the new system har

We will complete this study by July 1, 1991.
