Operating Licensing No. DPR-50, Docket No. 50-289 NRC Dulletin 88-11 Pressurizer Surge Line 7hental Stratification aM Striping Schodule for Suhnittal of Updated Report By letter dated January 1,1990, GPU Nuclear Corporation (GEW) subnitted a Justification for Continued Operation, as required by Item 1.b of NRC Dulletin No. 88-11.
Followim that subnittal the mbevek & Wilcox Cuners Group Pressurizer Surgo Line 7hermal Stratification Working Group continued its work to denonstrate acceptable fatigue life for 40 years. The evaluation is tased on the ASME code allowable stresses as analyzed in accordance with the 1986 Diition. 7he report is in its final stage of canpletion and irdicates fatigue usage of less than 0.7 for TMI-1 through the end of its licensed 40 year design life. The final 7bpical Report (IRW-2127) which is applicable to 7MI-1 is scheduled for subnittal to the NRC and respective B&W owner /licenoces on or before Doocmber 31, 1990. As HRC Dulletin 88-11 requires GPUN to subnit updated analyses 30 days after completion of Item 1.d, which nust be cmpleted by January 4, 1991 for 7MI-1, the time frame for licensee review of the final report and subnittal to NRC is insufficient. Therefore, we have scheduled suhnittal of the 7bpical Report, including GPUN's responso for plant specific actions, to moot Item 1.d of the NRCB No. 88-11 for sixty (60) days from receipt of the B&W 7bpical Rep;t..
