- - ~ SOCKET NO. 50-317 BALTIMORE GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. 78 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-53, issued to Galtimore Gas and Electric Company, which revised Technical Specifications for operation of the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Unit No.1.
The amendment is effective as of the date of issuance.
This amendment revises the Technical Specifications for Calvert Cliffs Unit 1 to provide for a revised auxiliary feedwater flow requirement under automatic start condition and an administrative change to the implementation of the flow requirement.
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and C
requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's. rule,s and regulations. The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.
Prior public notice of the amendment was not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.

to 10 CFR Sl.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statement, or negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of the amendment.
