Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attn:
Document Control Desk Washington, DC 20555
Subject:
Deaver Valley Power Station, Unit No. 2 Docket No. 50-412, License No. NPF-73 IST (Inservice Test) Program; Proposed Revision 2C The purpose of this submittal is to request NRC review and approval of Proposed Revision 2C to the Unit No.-2 IST Program.
Six~ iso]ation valves located between.the demineralized water header and the recirculation spray system are going to be added to the IST Program and leak tested during the fifth refueling outage.
j
- However, four of these - valves are in parallel configurations and cannot be individually leak tested.
Therefore, we have prepared and attached two relief-requests that would permit-assigning a maximum permissible leakage rate for the parallel valves as a unit.
It is requested that the NRC complete the review of these proposed relief requests in time to support testing during the fifth refueling outage.
Approval before January 31, 1995, will provide
. sufficient preparation time for the refueling outage tentatively scheduled to begin March 24, 1995.
If you have any questions on this
- matter, please contact Mr. Steve Sovick at (412) 393-5211.
Sincerely, s A4
