(a) August 16, 1982 T.R. Tramm letter to H.R. Denton Dear Dr. >'urley Reference (a) provided the initial submittal of the Byron and Braldwood Fire Protection Report (FPR).
This letter provides Amendment 13 of the FPR for the NRC Staff review.
Amendment 13. updates-the FPR to incorporate new and revised information applicable to the Byron and Braidwood Stations.
These changes do not represen' a decrease in the level of fire protection which requires prior NRC ar y *1 according to the following:
(a) Condition 2.C.6 of the Byron Unit 1 Facility Operating License, NPF-37;'(b) Condition 2.E of the Byron Unit 2 Facility Operating License, NPF-66;.(c) Condition 2.E of the Braidwood Unit 1 Facility Operatinn License, NPF-72; or (d) Condition 2.E of the Braidwood Unit 2 Facility Operating License, NPF-77.
Amendment 13 includes changes which reflect changes to the facility and procedures which were in effect as of June 18, 1990.
Included in this amendment is a general update.of the identified combustible material--
inventories and the calculated combustible loads for many fire zones. Other changes can generally be categorized as editorial in nature. Attachment A to this letter provides an itemized summary and explanation of all-changes included.
Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.4(b)(6), one signed original and ten (10) copies are being provided to the Document Control _ Desk, plus two (2) copies tc, the NRC Region III office and one (1) copy each to the Byron and Braidwood-Resident Inspectors offices.
