In reference to our Supplemental Reply to Health Physics Appraisal Inspection 81-05 dated April 30, 1982, this letter serves to document a telephone conversation on September 30, 1982, between Mr. R. Nimitz of your office and Mr. D. G. Blair of our Radiation Control Group, regarding the anticipated completion date provided in our reply to Finding D.10.

Part 1 of Finding D.10 Supplemental Reply to Health Physics Appraisal Inspection 81-05 reads as follows:

"An evaluation of the calibrator radiation beam uniformity is to be performed".

Due to the intensive effort required to support an unscheduled plant outage for steam generator repair, our anticipated completion date of September 30, 1982 could not be met.

Our revised completion date for evaluation of the calibrator radiation beam uniformity is October 31, 1982.
