Dear Mr. Novak:
This is in response to your letter dated July 13, 1982 (Log No. 1029) relating to modifications to ECCS evaluation models as a result of the resolution of NUREG-0630 issues as pertaining to the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1.
Your letter requested an implementation schedule for these modifications to the ECCS evaluation models. As you are aware, activities for NUREG-0737, Item II.K.3.30 (Revisions to'Small Break LOCA Methods to Show Compliance with 100FR50, Appendix K) are currently pro-gressing. Following the completion and NRC approval of Item II.K.3.30, an implementation schedule for NUREG-0737, Item II.K.3.31 (Plant Specific Calculations to Show Compliance with 10CFR Part 50.46) will be developed.
The permanent modifications to the ECCS evaluation models will be under-taken as an extension of the II.K.3.31 activities. Toledo Edison will provide the implementation. schedule for these modifications 60 days after the NRC approval of II.K.3.30 activities.
