Nuclear Plant. Deferral does not mean that the project will be cancelled, l but that TVA is minimizing its expendituren and construction efforts until .'

Chicago Bridge and Iron Company (CBI) designed the ladders, platforms,

. and' walkways attached to the containment vessels for live and dead load only. Inertial earthquake loadings may not have been applied to these structures.

Interim Progress The containment vessel stress reports have not been submitted at this ,

time. CBI will be advised of this condition and instructed to make ,

the necessary revisions to include inertial earthquake loadings in the final design.
