Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 Seismic Qualification of Emergency Feedwater System (EFW)
As_ a supplemental response to our letter of September 14,1982 (82-216) enclosed please find a summary of 96 EFW/ Instrument Air (IA) valves which have been found 'to be structurally and operationally adequate when subjected to Safe Shutdown Earthquake (SSE). stresses along with normal operational loads.
The basis for the analysis was the same as that discussed in our September 14, 1982 letter.
Additionally, the vent stacks for both the main steam relief valves (MS-V-22A/B) and the atmospheric dump valves (MS-V-4A/B) will be included as part of the long term EFW upgrade program. A detailed analysis of these vents will be performed and any resultant modifications will be implemented during Cycle 6 refueling outage.
