STEAM GENERATOR INSPECTION PLAN POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT. UNIT 1 l
This letter is to inform you that we will not be performing steam generator eddy current examinations during the spring 1994 Unit 1 refueling outage.
Point Beach Nuclear' Plant (PBNP) Technical Specification 15.4.2.A.4(c) allows a steam. generator inservice inspection frequency extension to 40-month intervals if two l
consecutive inservice inspections covering a time span of at least l
12 months identify less than 5% of the total number of tubes examined degraded and none defective ~(C-1 category).
Because the results of tha 1992 and 1993 Unit 1 steam generator inspections are Category C-1, we will not perform eddy current examinations during the upcoming Unit i refueling outage.
This will. allow a significant cost savings for Wisconsin Electric Power Company and an associated reduction in personnel exposure.
