This letter constitutes a supplementary report to QA-1904 sub-mitted July 28, 1982. On August 10, 1982. CG&E notified the Commission of a lamination identified in a portion of a heat of structural plate.
Considering this material was supplied by the same vendor as that which supplied the previously reported 3" x 3" x " angle, it was determined that the additional discovery required a supplement to our original report.
Three hundred (300) linear feet of A-36,
" x 9" plate, purchased from E. K. Morris Company, manufactured by Bethlehem Steel Corporation, heat #802P54610 was identified on II. J. Kaiser Company Nonconformance Report (NR) #E-8369 as containing an edge lamination. This condition was detected when the plate was being cut in the hanger fabrication shop to be used in safety related supports.
- 11. J. Kaiser Company will ultrasonically test all material in the warehouse and fabrication shop to determine the extent of this problem and the acceptability of any installed material. This is expected to be completed by October 31, 1982, at which time a final report will be submitted.

R. Schweibinz of the NRC and Mr. F. K. Pfeifer of CC6E.
We trust the above will be found acceptable as a supplementary report under 10CFR50.55(e).
