Dear Mr. Stolz:
In our letter dated August 13, 1982 (Serial No. 847) Toledo Edison provided our plan to submit supplemental ECCS calculations using the cladding models of NUREG-0630 by March 1, 1983. As part of a group of utilities sponsoring the analysis, we find the results will not be provided to us as expected to meet the March 1, 1983 submittal date.
Therefore, for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No. I we plan to submit the proposed calculations by April 8, 1983.
As discussed previously, the implementation schedule for permanent modifications to the ECCS evaluation models will be provided at a later date.
