ULNRC-2339, dated December 11, 1990 Reference 2 transmitted an amendment application to revise Technical Specification 3/4.6.2.3 to delete the surveillance requirements to verify cooling water flow rates to the containment coolers.
This deletion was justified by the implementation of the Callaway Exchanger Monitoring Program which was Plant Heae developec
- commitments made in the response to Generic L
- r 89-13.
The amendment application was 4
transmitttu in response to commitments made in the Reference 1 NRC Inspection Report.
The purpose of this transmittal is to withdraw the amendment application submitted in Reference 2.
This withdrawal is based on resent teleconferences between the NRC Staff and Union Electric Co. which concluded that the revised specification needed to more closely follow the latest Standard Technical Specifications and Amendment 50 approved for the Wolf Creek Nuclear Plant.
We intend to resubmit an amendment application in the 4t'T quarter of this year.
