Freedom of Information Act Request
Dear Freedom of Information Officer:
On behalf of the Union of Concerned Scientists and pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C.
- S552, et seq., I request copies of any and all CRAC and CRAC2 analyses In the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's possession relating to the Shoreham nuclear power plant and the Clinch River breeder reactor.
In addition, I request copies of any letters, memoranda, reports, or other documents analyzing or commenting on the CRAC and CRAC2 analyses for those reactors.
UCS is a non-profit public interest group supported by voluntary donations, and therefore has very limited resources.
UCS would in no way benefit financially from this disclosure, but rather will use the information to carry out its work of public education and participation in NRC proceedings to promote the protection of public health and safety in nuclear regulation.
Therefore, I request that you waive the fees for locating and reproducing the requested documents on the ground that furnishing the documents is in the public interest because it "can be considered as primarily benefitting the public."
