Independent Design Review for the Shoreham Nuclear Power Station
Dear Mr. Denton:
TES has completed our preliminary review which has resulted in the issuance of 16 Findings.
As noted in TES letter 5633-20 dated November 2,1982, these Findings should be considered Preliminary until a response is received from LILC0 and review of those responses is conducted by TES.
To date TES has 11 responses from LILC0 and these are being reviewed.
The review of responses to Findings is being carried out as follows:
1.
The initiator of the original RRF reviews the LILC0 response and submits the results of that review on a RRF-ICR form.
2.
The Project Manager and the Chairman of the Internal Review Committee meet with the reviewer, and any other members of the IDR Project Team they feel are required, to discuss the results of the review of LILC0 responses.
3.
The Project Manager and the Chairman of the Internal Review Committee must reach agreement on the final classification of each item.
The reasons for their conclusions will be set forth in writing, signed and attached to the original ICR.
In the process of reviewing LILC0 responses, telephone conversations and/or meetings between TES, LILC0 and Stone and Webster will be necessary.
Records of these conversations and meetings will be made by TES and transmitted to LILC0 and the NRC.
