SUMMARY

OF OPERATIONS November, 1978 The unit was operated at 100% power during November with no unit shutdowns or significant power reductions.

The following significant safety related maintenance was performed in November:

1. Reworked 1C charging pump motor mount frame, replaced bearings in speed increaser, and realigned pump. The 1C charging pump is now operable.
2. Rebuilt 2C diesel generator B air compressor.
3. Repaired 1B boron injection tank recirculation pump seal.
4. Replaced R-11/R-12, containment atmosphere particulate / gaseous radioactivity monitoring system, vacuum pump / motor and low flow relay.
5. Repaired LS-511, river water A train auto-start pond level switch.
6. Repaired circuit ET-7B, heat tracing on boron injection tank inlet valve.
7. Pulled river water pump 10 after indication of '

high vibration. Flushed the lube and cooling piping for the A and B-train water pumps. Vibration problems were also experienced on river water pumps 4 and 9. Motor rework was begun on river water pump 7 after the motor apparently seized.
